Looking every inch the style icon, even when a penniless showgirl, Tautou is poised perfection throughout, even when the narrative occasionally snags.
A dog’s life…
Based on the best-selling memoir by journalist John Grogan, Marley & Me tells the endearing story of his life as a husband, father and owner of bombastic labrador Marley who is a serious contender for the most badly behaved dog in the world. And, of course, it’s his canine adventures that steal the show, although Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston are hugely likeable as Marley’s long-suffering owners John and Jennifer.

Argentinian revolutionary Ernesto ‘Che’ Guevara has become an icon of the modern age, his image adorning t-shirts and posters the world over. But it’s likely that many of those familiar with his image have only a sketchy idea of Guevara’s true place in and impact on Latin American history. They, and indeed anyone with even a passing interest in the legend of Che, should indulge in Steven Soderbergh’s epic two-parter which follows the man from idealist to guerrilla to one of the most important men in Fidel Castro’s Cuba.
